<p>A corrugated sheath (10) for thermally and mechanically protecting electrical cables is disclosed. The sheath comprises an outer layer of sound-proofing material (14) and includes a cable insertion slot (12). Said sheath further includes a continuous longitudinal strip (20) made of a sound-proofing material and having one side (22) attached to one edge of the slot such that it contacts the outer layer of sound-proofing material, while the other side (24) of said strip may later be attached to the other edge of the slot. The first half (22) of the sound-proofing strip (20) is permanently adhered (23) to one edge of the slot (12) of the outer layer (14), and the other half (24) includes a size coating (25) covered by a removable covering strip (30).</p> |
