PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fibers-built-in insulator at high manufacturing efficiency and low cost. SOLUTION: This optical fibers-built-in insulator comprises a cylindrical core body 11 made of a reinforced plastic and having a prescribed length, optical fibers 12a, 12b placed in the inside of an inner hole 11a of the core body 11 and penetrating the inner hole 11a, a filling layer 13 made of synthetic resin with which the inside of the inner hole 11 of the core body 11 is so filled as to bury the optical fibers 12a, 12b in the inside of the core body. Since the optical fibers 12a, 12b are linearly placed and buried, as compared with a conventional optical fibers-built-in polymer insulator, a coiling work of the optical fibers is made unnecessary and the optical fibers are easily taken out and thus this insulator can be manufactured at high manufacturing efficiency and low cost. |
