PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy fitting instead of a commutator cover, and make it possible to safely polish the surface of a commutator by a man, by installing a sliding member provided with a grindstone in a cylinder member in such a manner that reciprocating motion is possible, and making a grindstone abut against the surface of the commutator by reciprocation of the sliding member with an adjusting handle. SOLUTION: Instead of a commutator cover of an external box of a motor, an attachment 2 is fitted. A polishing equipment main body 5 is fitted in a fitting hole of the attachment 2. By rotating an adjusting handle 8, a grindstone 72 is moved up and down and made to abut against a commutator. The gindstone 72 is so adjusted that it slightly comes into contact with the commutator while it is stopped. After the commutator 11 is rotated, the pressing force of the grindstone 72 is adjusted by rotating the adjusting handle 8. By fastening a lock nut 9, a suitable state can be maintained. Thereby the commutator can be polished without decomposing a motor, so that operation is facilitated. |
