MOLDED MACROMOLECULE CONTAINING ISOTHIOCYANIC ESTER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polymer molded product that has an antimicrobial properties by itself by allowing a previously adsorbent-formulated polymer molded product to adsorb an isothiocyanate that is the major component of horse-radish. SOLUTION: The objective molded product is obtained by bringing the liquid or vapor of (A) an isothiocyanate as allyl isothiocyanate into contact with (B) polymer molded products including 10-40 wt.% of an adsorbent as sepiolite, attapulgite and the like. When the molded products are treated with liquid isothiocyanate, the molded product is sprayed, coated with liquid isocyanate or its solution or dipped in its solution. In the meantime, the molded products are treated with the vapor phase isothiocyanate by holding them in the isothiocyanate vapor or in a gas as air or nitrogen containing the isothiocyanate vapor.
