<p>The present invention is a capacitive force sensor which has a force sensing detector (20) formed from a plurality of conducting plates (30, 32, 34), dielectric layers (22, 24), a variable feedback providing circuit (46), insulating plates (36, 38) for housing the force sensing detector, and the feedback providing circuit. The detector provides a signal to the circuit in response to pressure, and the circuit provides feedback output in response t o the signal from the force sensing detector. The housing can take the form of a squeeze ball (80), a squeeze cylinder (90), a hitting target (110), a baseba ll glove (180), a golf glove (200), or can be implemented as part of an actual grip (190), such as for a golf club.</p> |
