PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member which is stable over a long period of time, is easy to maintain and may be easily assembled. SOLUTION: This optical fiber cord holding member includes a cylindrical part 10 for allowing the insertion of an optical fiber cord, a slit 20 disposed in this cylindrical part and projecting parts 31, 32 disposed in the cylindrical part in order to fix the cylindrical part to a flat plate. The width of this slit 20 is wider by >=0.1mm than the wire diameter of the optical fiber cord and the central line of the slit inclines with the central axis of the cylindrical part. The optical fiber cord inserted from the slit part 20 into the cylinder part 10 is returned to a straight state by its own rigidity and, therefore, the optical fiber cord does not jump outside from the slit 20 inclined with the central axis of the cylinder part 10. The slit part 20 is merely required to have the part inclined with the central axis of the cylinder part 10 and may be an S shape, etc., in addition to the straight shape. |
