The reverse manipulation error preventing device(20) of an automobile manual transmission gear, which is installed on the inner surface of a transmission gear case(11) disposed nearest at a five-stage or a neutral position of reverse transmission, comprises: a housing(22) having a reentrant groove(21) on the center of inner surface thereof, through which the housing is secured on the inner surface of the transmission case(11); a locker(24) secured on the reentrant groove(21) of the housing(22) on the one side thereof and for restricting the rotation of a locking projection(23) formed on the one side of the lower end of a control lug(10); and locker supporting members(33,34) having through holes(25,26) formed horizontally and vertically on the hinge of the locker(24) and the lower portion of housing(22) opposite thereto, on which supporting protrusions(27,28) and springs(29,30) are provided, and fixed by means of fixing bolts(31,32).
