PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly distribute EGR gas among engine cylinders while the number of EGR gas passages is smaller than the number of independent intake passages which connect the engine cylinders with a surge tank, independent from one another, in such an arrangement that the EGR gas passages are opened to the independent intake passages. SOLUTION: Intake-air is fed through a common intake-air passage 11 and into a surge tank 10 which is connected to a plurality of engine cylinders C1 to C4 through independent intake-air passages 21 to 24, respectively. Precisely, a connection part A1 of the common intake-air passage 11 is connected to the surge tank 10, and connection parts B1 to B4 of the independent intake-air passages 21 to 24 are connected to the surge tank 10. An EGR branch passage 31 is opened to the independent intake-air passage 21, and an EGR branch passage 32 is opened to the independent intake-air passage 22. EGR gas is fed into the independent intake-air passages 23, 24 through the EGR branch passage 32, that is, with the use of blow back of intake air from the independent intake-air passage 22 into the surge tank 10.
|
