A piezoelectric multilayer body in which the displacement difference caused by application of electric field to the boundary between alternate electrode sections of an electrode central part of a unit multilayer body is decreased to a minimum by contriving the multilayer structure of an alternate electrode structure unit multilayer body. Each of the piezoelectric element sheets (11a) of a unit multilayer body (10a) constituting the piezoelectric multilayer body integrally comprises an element sheet portion (11c) and ear portions (11d, 11e) and is made of a piezoelectric ceramic material. An electrode layer (11b) is formed over the surface of the element sheet portion (11c) and the surface of the ear portion (11e). The back of the upper multilayer sheet (11) out of the multilayer sheets (11) opposed to the electrode layer (11b) of the lower multilayer sheet (11). The unit multilayer bodies (10a) are so stacked that the direction of each multilayer body is rotated by 90 degrees perpendicularly to the stack direction from the bottom to the top.
