PURPOSE: An overhead projection film for the electronographic copy and a method for preparing the overhead projection film are provided, to lower the manufacturing cost and to prevent the deterioration of the adhesion of a toner due to the static electricity and aging of a film. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate by the ratio of 40:80 - 20:60 by weight, adding 1-20 wt% of hydroxyethyl methacrylate, acrylic acid or their mixture to the mixture based on the weight of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate, and copolymerizing the mixture in water, to obtain a thermoplastic polymer; mixing the thermoplastic polymer, 5-40 parts by weight of a thermosetting polymer selected from melamine-formaldehyde resin, urea-formaldehyde resin and water-soluble blocked diisocyanate and 20-50 parts by weight of an antistatic agent containing a functional group, to obtain an image-receiving layer coating solution; coating the transparent or semitransparent polymer film with the solution; and drying it.
