PURPOSE: A hydraulic hammer is provided to reduce repeated bending stress applied to a hammer assembly by improving structure of a buffer assembly. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic hammer comprises: a top cover plate(114) combined to upper portion of a housing(112); a hammer assembly(120) placed in the housing; a top buffer(140) installed in contact with upper portion of the hammer assembly and made up of a material elastically deformed to absorb a shock generated from the hammer assembly; a slide plate(144) interposed between the top buffer and the top cover plate; a top buffer plate(146) interposed between the top buffer and the slide plate to be restrained from deforming; and a connecting member(148) fixed in a hole formed in the center of the top buffer plate, and of which a portion is inserted into holes formed in the top buffer and the slide plate. The buffer assembly absorbs a shock transmitted from the hammer assembly while rotating the upper portion of the hammer assembly by centering on a front head(122). As the slide plate rotates while sliding on the top buffer plate, bending stress applied to the hammer assembly is reduced.
