<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a treatment amount of waste per unit time by a method wherein a chlorine content is removed from thermal decomposition gas of waste and burnt by an exhaust heat recovery boiler. SOLUTION: Char (carbide) T of waste H is mixed with coal C and the mixture is burned by a thermal power generating device X to treat the waste H. In a method described above, the thermal power generating device X comprises coal gasifying equipment 1 to generate combustible gas F for driving a gas turbine 4; and an exhaust heat recovery boiler 8 to generate steam for driving a steam turbine 9 by burning the combustible gas F. The waste H is heated by a thermal decomposition furnace 14 and thermally decomposed into thermal decomposition gas S and char T. The char T is mixed with the coal C through a main conveyance route 16, by removing a chlorine content from thermal decomposition gas S by a chlorine removing device 19, dechlorined thermal decomposition gas D is generated, and dechlorined thermal decomposition gas D is burnt by a heat source device 22 and forms a heat source for the exhaust heat recovery boiler 8.</p> |
