PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically reproduce a data attachment file by detecting a describer showing the type of the data attachment file that is previously designated out of the header information on the acquired data. SOLUTION: A system control part 23 of a portable information terminal device 2 operates by an electronic mail program and fetches only an electronic mail that is contained in an attachment file in response to the type information KD1 on a mail header received from an exclusive server. Then the part 23 refers to the expander of the type information KD2 on the sub-message header of the fetched electronic mail, reproduces automatically the attachment file if the expander is previously set to be automatically reproduced, displays the attachment file at a display part 11 and also stores the static image data in a flash memory 26. Thereby the device 2 can automatically reproduce the attachment file and also can display a static image at the part 11.
