<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform anaerobic treatment within a short time by applying electricity to inflow water or stagnated water of anaerobic treatment in a wastewater treatment method performing biological treatment in an anaerobic state. SOLUTION: An electricity applying means 10 is formed from a water storage container 13 having inflow and outflow ports 11, 12, a plurality of the electrodes 14, 14 arranged in the water storage container 13 and a power supply part 15 for allowing electricity to flow to a plurality of electrodes 14. Water to which electricity is applied flows in the container 13 from the inflow port 11 disposed at the lower part of the container to overflow the outflow port 12 disposed at the upper part of the container. The stagnation time of the water to which electricity is applied of the water storage container 13 is different according to the properties thereof but 30 sec to 30 min is usually proper and it is pref. to set the oxidation and reduction potential(ORP) of the outflow water flowing out of the outflow port 12 at this time to -100 mV or less. By applying electricity by this electricity applying means 10, ORP can be reduced to -100 mV or less for a short time of several min.</p> |
