BED CLOTHING

A contoured bed sheet is used on a mattress. The sheet has a contoured end to fit on the foot end of the mattress. The sheet which is a top sheet is made of knitted fabric. The sheet includes a top wall having a transverse foot edge and longitudinal parallel side edges, a foot end wall having a transverse top edge adjacent the foot edge of the top wall. A pair of seams joins the corresponding flaps extending from side walls and from the foot end wall. A pleat is formed by a pair of identical panels having a common transverse fold line. The panels have opposed transverse edges joined to the top wall foot edge and the foot wall top edge respectively whereby the pleat expands to provide foot room for a person lying on the bed under the bed clothing.
