<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reset operation of a lower rank controller without providing any transmission path of a reset signal line even when the lower rank controller is run away or hung up. SOLUTION: At the time of receiving data from a serial transmission path, a serial communication controller 4 turns an RxRDY signal being a reception completion signal into a high level (H). The RxRDY signal is inputted to a timer 5, and when the RxRDY signal is turned into the H, the timer 5 starts the counting. When a CPU (not shown in a figure) reads the data received by the serial communication controller 4, the RxRDY signal is turned into a low level (L), and the timer 5 stops the counting. Also, the timer 5 outputs a reset signal after the lapse of a prescribed time is a state that the data received by the serial communication controller 4 are not read by the CPU.</p> |
