PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of updating liking data of a user and capable of improving the access frequency of the user in the case of providing the limited pieces of information data. SOLUTION: A liking data collecting and storing means 29 collects the initial liking data of the user from conversation between a character and the user and collects the change of the liking of the user from conversation between a character and the user and the information selecting situation of the user to update the liking data. A display changing means 31 obtains the liking tendency of the user from the liking data, divides plural kinds of genres into plural groups in accordance with the strength of the liking tendency, selects one genre from each of the plural groups and makes a display part to display the choices of information so as to make the user select information on the selected genre. The means 31 never redisplays the choices of the information selected by the user in the case of accessing later.
