PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method and an apparatus capable of certainly and easily removing a stain adhered to food such as farm products, an egg or the like to a product easy to break such as glasses or the like, and to a small part having a complicated shape such as a human body or the like, for a short time without damaging the article to be washed. SOLUTION: After a large number of particles are fluidized in a washing tank by air streams, a liquid having specific gravity same to that of the particles is supplied into the washing tank and dispersed in the particle fluidized bed to form solid-liquid flocs having a proper size and a substantial flow channel area of air is reduced by these flocs to increase the air flow speed passing through the particle bed to generate peculiar three-phase streams wherein the fluidized state of the particle bed is activated and the particles of which the movement is activated are allowed to collide with an object to be washed in the peculiar three-phase streams.
