<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion vector detector accuracy improving detecting motion vector detecting by selecting an optimum vector of plural candidate vectors, when a motion vector is detected with a respect to target block of an image signal. SOLUTION: There are provided correlation computing portion 100 for computing correlation between a noticed block of an objective image and a candidate block for a searched image, a candidate vector storing portion 200 storing candidate vectors on the position of the candidate block to an n-th candidate, in the order of descending correlativity as a candidate for a motion vector for a noticed block, and an optimum motion vector selecting portion 30 selecting an optimum motion vector from n candidates for a noticed block, using a candidate vector acquired in each block surrounding the noticed block. Thus, this constitution enables optimum selection of a motion vector, even if it is not of highest correlation, and improvement in motion vector detecting accuracy.</p> |
