PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone system that attains compatibility between the portability of a mobile phone and a photographing lens with a plurality of focal distances required for practical photographing so as to attain photographing when the portable telephone is carried. SOLUTION: In the portable telephone system of this invention, the portable telephone 1 is provided with a battery pack mount section 17 by which a battery pack 3 is attachable to/detachable from the telephone 1. Furthermore, a digital camera 2 mounted on the telephone 1 is provided with a battery pack mount section 26 that is attachable to/detachable from the battery pack 3 and also attachable to/detachable from the battery pack mount section 17 of the portable telephone.
