摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-resolution and high-precision permanent magnet-type stepping motor, without increasing a motor size and forming a complicated drive circuit, by enabling phase multiplication, without increasing the number of magnetic poles. SOLUTION: The magnetic poles of stator are formed into annular shapes by adjacently placing two stator portions in the axial direction, almost identical in width, having first magnetic poles, respectively, which have a plurality of pole teeth formed axisymmetrially with respect to the shape of the magnetic poles and second magnetic poles, having pole teeth with their arrangement pitch shifted by one-fourth from that of the above pole teeth, formed with the same pitch and in the same number as that of the above pole teeth, so that the magnetic poles with different pole teeth formed are located adjacent to each other. A rotor is formed by placing two permanent magnet-type rotor portions, including magnetic poles having north poles and south poles formed alternately in the width, corresponding to the dimensions and the pitch of the above pole teeth and opposite to the individual stator portions, so that the rotor portions are shifted from each other by a quantity equivalent to one-fourth of the magnetic pole formation pitch.
