PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for performing an edge emphasis processing where nonuniformity of the density of an edge part is suppressed. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with an emphasis amount arithmetic part 381 for calculating a density emphasis amount concerning each pixel, an emphasis amount increasing part 383 for increasing the density emphasis amount concerning an edge pixel to be inputted via a selector 382 so as to reduce a difference between the density emphasis amount and the density emphasis amount concerning the peripheral edge pixels, a density increasing part 385 for increasing the density of each pixel to reduce the difference between the density and the density of the peripheral pixels and an adder 387 for adding the density after increment which is inputted from the density increasing part 385 via the selector 386 to the density emphasis amount after increment which is inputted from the emphasis amount increasing part 383 via the selector 384 and outputting it. |
