PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a printed matter capable of evaluating banding of a printed matter by an inkjet recorder easily and conveniently without requiring an operational processing by frequency space and Fourier transform. SOLUTION: Rough profile data of variation to a position on a printed matter is extracted from measured lightness data of the printed matter.
