METHOD FOR PRODUCING SHEET METAL-MADE ROCKER ARM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a sheet metal-made rocker arm containing a slipper surface in contact with a movable valve cam by press-working. SOLUTION: The rocker arm is provided with a main wall part 21 and side wall parts 22, 23 at almost right angle to the main wall part 21 and the slipper part 24 at almost right angle to the side wall part and produced with plurality of working processes while conveying a strip material 28. The producing process is provided with bending processes F, G for bending a portion corresponding to a slipper part 24 in a product part 28a into almost right angle to the side wall part, a side wall bending process I for bending a portion corresponding to the side wall parts 22, 23 in the product part 28a into almost right angle to the main wall part 21 and restrike processes J-L for forming the slipper part by using the restrike upper die and the restrike lower die for forming a closed forging space corresponding to the slipper part 24 while dividing into plurality of times.
