An image source apparatus, a method for acquiring information from a printer, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to provide direct printing which is safely operated in a single task OS(Operating System). An image source apparatus for performing print of a printer by sending image data to the directly connected printer comprises the followings: a driver for sending image data to a printer according to a predetermined rule and performing a print work of the printer on the basis of the sent image data; an application processing unit for performing a predetermined process; and a storing unit for storing acquired multiple information related to specifications of the printer according to a predetermined rule after terminating an initializing process.
