PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a duplex inveter comprising current type GTO(gate turn off) inverters and employing only one converter. SOLUTION: Current type GTO(gate turn off) inverters INV1, INV2 are connected in parallel on the output side thereof and drive an induction motor 4. Only one converter 1 is employed and the output thereof is fed through Dc reactors 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D to produce a smoothed DC current id which is then fed to the INV1, INV2. Each GTO in the INV1, TNV2 is subjected to conduction control by long and short duration gate pulses PL, PS outputted from a gate control circuit 10. DC input voltages V14 , V2 are equalized by contriving the input timing of gate pulses PL, PS to the GTO. |
