The ceramic heater has a pattern (3) which is formed by printing an electrical conductivity paste on a ceramic sheet (2). A pair of linear conductor area (311) is formed along the longitudinal direction of the ceramic sheet. An oblique line conductor area (313) is inclined with respect to the linear conductor area. A curved conductor area (312) is formed between the linear conductor areas. The sum of the curvature diameter of the central line of the curved conductor area is larger than the pattern full width between the central lines of the linear conductor areas. An independent claim is included for gas sensor.
