The method involves providing goods on a support (1) e.g. tray, from which goods are collected on or in goods carriers (14). One goods carrier is transported from a conveyer system (13) to flows (15.1, 15.2) with other goods carriers along the support. The goods carrier is removed from the flow (15.2) at a pick location, and is again inserted to the flow. The good carriers are automatically removed and inserted from and into the flow. The goods are removed from the support and the goods carriers are removed from the flow at the pick location. An independent claim is also included for a device for picking goods.
