The link (40) has an electrosurgical tool element (14) charged with current, and a force transmission element (16) in the form of an electrical conductor electrically connected with the tool element. The conductor extends from a proximal end to a distal end of an electrosurgical instrument (10). The proximal end holds an electrical connection contact (30) for connection with a current- or voltage source. An electrically conductive connection is made between the contact and the conductor by the link, which is made of electrically conductive plastic, and the contact is formed as a plug contact.
