The vehicle navigation system using a GPS(Global Positioning System) and a pager network has a control system unit 20 composed of a first interface 22 for receiving traffic information data from a traffic information network, a GPS receiver 24 for reference for receiving a transmission signal from a GPS satellite via a GPS antenna 23 and generating vehicle driving information, a system controller 21 for comparing the traffic information data with the vehicle driving information and generating a service information data, a system monitor 25 for displaying the service information data on a GIS(Geographic Information System), an encoder 26 for encoding the service information data, a pager transmission system 27 for paging, a second interface 28 for converting the output of the encoder 26 to the signal adequate to the paging, and a pager high-frequency transmitter 29 for amplifying the high-frequency of the output of the second interface 28 and transmitting it to a moving unit; and a plurality of moving units 30, each composed of a pager receiver 31 for receiving the transmission signal of the pager high-frequency transmitter 29, and a GPS receiver 30 for receiving one's own position data from the GPS satellite and the service information data from the pager receiver 31 via a third interface 32 and displaying the service information data.
