PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap member of ink jet recorder which can suppress deterioration of landing accuracy of liquid delivered from an ink jet recording head by restraining the liquid from remaining on the nozzle surface of the ink jet recording head. SOLUTION: The cap member 10 has a recess 111 and a contact part 112 around the recess 111 and covers the nozzle surface 61 of an ink jet recording head under such a state as the contact part 112 is coming into contact with the nozzle surface 61. The contact part 112 of the cap member 10 is formed of a rubber member having chemical resistance and is rendered hydrophilic. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
