PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in viscosity of a liquid being ejected from a nozzle. SOLUTION: A moistening liquid circulating through a second moistening liquid channel 42 is supplied from the second moistening liquid channel 42 to a through hole 43 and thence supplied through a groove 45 to an opening 40, thus filling the opening 40 with the moistening liquid. The moistening liquid filling the opening 40 is held in the opening 40 by surface tension of the moistening liquid, and evaporates naturally from the surface of the moistening liquid held in the opening 40. A recess 15, i.e. a space surrounded by the sidewall, is moistened and thereby the vicinity of a nozzle 22 is moistened, thus suppressing increase in viscosity of liquid being ejected from the noise 22.
