A catalytic fuel oil economizer in oil lines of a motor vehicle includes a catalyzing device (I), a heating box (II) enveloping the catalyzing device (I), electric heating temperature controlling parts (III), return oil amount regulating parts (IV) and a return line for economizing fuel oil. The catalyzing device (I) includes a metal box (6), catalyzing stack (7) sealed in the metal box (6), an inlet joint (5) and an outlet joint (8) communicating with the gaps of the catalyzing stack (7). The oil inlet of the catalyzing device (I) is connected with the outlet (1) of the pumping oil pipe and the oil outlet (8) is connected with main flown line (45) of the engine. The return line for economizing fuel oil is connected between the inlet of the catalyzing device (I) and original return pipes (41,42,46) of the vehicle engine. The fuel oil economizer can make fuel oil combust enough, and the thermal efficiency of the engine is improved remarkably.
