An automatic call additional service setting method and an apparatus thereof in a portable terminal are provided to change the current mode into the set receiving/transmitting mode automatically according to the location of the portable terminal. A PC(400) sets up an automatic call additional service by connecting a web server(410). The web server registers the set up automatic call additional service in the businessman system(420). When the mobile terminal is located in a location which the automatic call additional service is registered(405), the service providing system transmits the additional service information to the portable terminal(407). The receiving-sending message mode of the portable terminal is changed to the mode corresponding to the call additional service information(409).
