A providing method and a system of location information using a cell broadcasting service(CBS) are provided to transmit the location information according to a user of the received terminal. An originating mobile(100) transmits a request message for offering the location information using a cell broadcasting service with the short text message. An SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(110) transmits a short text message for a position information request transmitted from the originating mobile from the reception terminal(130). A CBSC(Cell Broadcasting Service Center)(120) transmits data through the base transceiver station in a plurality of personal digital assistants within the same cell.
