<p>A bi-directional line light source having an improved uniformity of brightness along the length of the line light source is achieved using partial reflectors (152, 154) within the line light source. Partial reflectors reflect a portion (164) of incident light (160, 170) and transmit the remaining light (162). The reflected light from a first light source supplements light from a second light source. Similarly, reflected light from the second light source (20') supplements light from the first light source (21).</p> |
