The invention relates to a power generating device (10) that comprises a set of n superimposed wind turbine modules (200, 300), n being an even integer, each comprising a rotor (210, 310), the rotors (210, 310) of two adjacent wind turbine modules (200, 300) being counter-rotating, characterised in that the wind turbine modules are rotatingly mounted about a common vertical axis (0-0) on a common-rotation guiding structure (100), wherein at least one wind turbine module (200, 300) includes a stator (220, 320) surrounding its respective rotor (210, 310) and has a series of vertical directional vanes (250, 350) the orientation of which is adapted for rotating the associated rotor in the appropriate direction, and means (270, 370) for adjusting the orientation of the directional vanes (250, 350), the device further including mechanical coupling means (400) between two adjacent wind turbine modules (200, 300) and a unique power conversion means associated with at least one group of wind turbine modules (200, 300). |
