FORM TRIMMING APPARATUS

The apparatus profiles an edge (E) of a panel (1) and comprises means to locate a panel at a predetermined position, a mounting means (50) able to present a rotary cutter (6) to cause movement of the cutter at least along the edge (E) to form trim the edge (E) and a means to bias (23) the rotary cutter (6) throughout the profiling movement towards the panel. The rotary cutter (6) may further include a wheel (4) to track along the surfaces of the panel throughout the movement. Movement of the rotary cutter (6) along at least the edge (E) is achieved by rotation of the mounting means about the solar axis (16) by a suitable driving means. The biasing means (23) by suitable linkages and control provides a moment to the earth/moon member (14) to ensure that the wheel (4) remains in contact with the panel at least during the profiling movement. Cams may further control the start and finish of the profiling.
