A pincushion correcting circuit includes an analog-digital converter 112, correction factor memory circuit 114, circuit 116 of calculating pincushion correction factor and generating signals, digital-analog converter 118 and signal combining circuit 121, thereby perfectly compensating pincushion of image which may generates on the screen, to improve picture quality. The A/D converter 112 quantizes analog horizontal and vertical synchronous signals inputted through a line L111 by a predetermined bit at every predetermined time interval so as to obtain the pincushion correction factor, and sends it to a line L113. The correction data memory circuit 114 stores alpha data indicating scanning angle which is correction factor component, to correct the pincushion. The signal combining circuit 121 combining vertical deflection signal and analog signal, to generate new vertical deflection signal finally corrected.
