A plasticising composition comprises at least one polyol, at least one plasticising agent, optionally a catalyst, one or more chain extenders, and sufficient thickening agent to give a viscosity, at 20 degrees C, of at least 4Pa.s measured with a pulse of 10 rad/s. Also claimed is a polyurethane gel. Preferably the thickening agent is added to give a viscosity of 5-300 Pa.s at 20 degrees C. Especially the thickening agent is an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene/butyl acrylate copolymer, ethylene/ethyl acrylate/maleic anhydride terpolymer, ethylene/vinyl acetate/maleic anhydride terpolymer and is present in an amount of 5, preferably 30-110 parts weight per 100 parts weight polyol. |
