CASTING REFRACTORY FOR BLAST-FURNACE LAUNDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting refractory appropriate especially as the lining of a slag line in the lining of a blast-furnace launder. SOLUTION: This casting refractory for a blast-furnace launder contains a refractory aggregate with the silicon carbide (having <10mm grain diameter), alumina and carbon as the main material, a binder and a dispersant and is further mixed with silicon carbide coarse grains (having 10-50mm diameter) by 10-40wt.% of an increase to 100wt.% refractory aggregate and 1-8wt.% volatile silica.
