PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module including an optical unit provided with a light receiving element or a light emitting element and a housing to which the optical unit is fixed, the module in which a change in position of the light receiving element or the light emitting element is small before and after fixing the optical unit.SOLUTION: An optical module 1 includes a light receiving unit 2 having a PD 2a that receives signal light and a housing 5 to which the light receiving unit 2 is fixed.
