PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable tracking control by differently setting the ratio between widths of a land and a groove and recording information on the signal tracks of the land and the groove the ratio of whose widths is set differently. SOLUTION: An optical disk 21 is provided with the structure of the disk capable of detecting a tracking control signal of the period of the land or the groove, and by making the jumping distance doubled, the probability of jumping due to a disturbance, etc., is reduced remarkable. That is, if the distance is doubled, the probability of jumping for the same disturbance is reduced to e<2> times.
