Reducing the nitrous oxide content of the exhaust gases from a gas turbine (2) comprises injecting a reducing agent for the non-catalytic reduction of nitrous oxides into the exhaust stream (104) near the exhaust gas turbine (24). Also claimed is a gas turbine plant to carry out the above process in which the gas turbine (2) has a fresh air compressor (22), at least one combustion chamber (26,28) and an exhaust gas turbine (24). The reduction agent feed line (96,100) may be attached to the exhaust gas turbine (24).
