1285947 Trousers stretchers J E PROCHAZKA DE DUBE 16 Sept 1969 [16 Sept 1968] 45636/69 Heading A3V Apparatus for stretching articles of clothing, e.g. trousers, comprises a frame 10 supporting a first member 14 and having pivoted thereto at 18 a second member 22 movable from the position shown into an abutting relationship with member 14 by moving lever 40, the member 14 having pivoted thereto at each end a pair of elements 26, 28 biased into the positions shown by springs 34, 36, such that with the articles 68 on member 22 and caused to contact the elements 26, 28, the elements pivot to the dotted line positions and their corrugated or rubber faces 33 stretch the article. The hinges 30, 32 may be of the type which causes the elements of each pair to move away from each other during pivoting into the dotted positions thereby causing them to stretch the article in two directions at right angles. |
