An enlarged portion of a valve stem 16 is guided by a flanged guide 21 held in position by a cap member 22 through which a reduced portion 23 of the stem extends, the cap 22 serving to limit the valve lift. The cap 22 is sever-threaded into the body member 10 to hold the guide 21 against a seat 20 and a second cap 26 is screwed on to the end of cap 22. Replaceable sterns between the cap 22 at the flange of guide 21 permit adjustment of the valve lift.</p> |
