Dividing head is mounted to piston which is axially fixed. Outer cylinder moves relative to housing and relative to piston. Outer cylinder carries idling spur gear which is in constant engagement with a rack. Driven spur gear is rigidly mounted to piston rod. Indexing dowels engaged into dividing head and locking dowels engage into housing, both types of dowels mounted to outer cylinder which is connected to a switch. Hydraulic pressure is applied to outer cylinder through apertures in the piston rod. The housing has a flanged extension which acts as stop to clamp the dividing head. |
