The first leg of the compasses has at its free end a coupling to accommodate a working insert such as a drawing pen, pencil lead etc, and the second one a fork-shaped recess in which a pivoting member is lockably fitted. This in turn accommodates a steel pin pointed at both ends, and which can turn and also be adjusted in the lengthwise direction. One of the points (44) is on a short inclined portion bent from the otherwise straight pin and in one of the positions of the pivoting member (30) is housed inside the fork-shaped recess (22). |
