Yarn guide roller for draw twisters or draw-winders has aerodynamic bearings. Pref., a hollow cylindrical steel body is closed at one end, and a rotating glass body surrounds the inner and outer envelope surfaces of the steel body, forming concentric air gaps; it is sealed against the body by a gap seal. The steel body is fixed to the machine frame. The air gaps are 1 mm dia.
