A pulse type readout apparatus for data registering machines, such as mechanical adding and calculating machines in which data is transferred from the machine to a suitable remotely controlled device in parallel fashion by pulse signals. Such signals are formed by switch contacts which are momentarily closed by gear teeth carried by denominationally arranged differential actuators of the machine. The switch contacts are selectively moved into and out of cooperative relation with the actuators.
